Passing of the Buffalo

I have stood with the Buffalo for as long as I can remember.
Watching
the torture of our brothers and sisters. A torture that no American
can
imagine. I wake from my daydream, the radio buzzes loud and
clear,
“the haze is headed south on 191”. I hear that the
torture of our
ancestors continues. They’re run miles to be sent to the
government on
the back of a coin, with some white guy who helped protect our
country,
or so they say. And I’m trying to live thru the sadness,
the madness,
the lying I’ve been told. While This Baby Buffalo is having
dreams
about finding that mountain that the last 23 of her ancestors
fled to.
Find that mountain and lead her family and her family’s
family to roam
free…forever!
