Sylvia Nottingham
, 1955-2002

Sylvia and Butch Nottingham were some of the first people in the West Yellowstone community to welcome BFC in 1997. Sylvia was a source of encouragement to BFC, and her love for the buffalo came through in everything she did. Without the Nottingham's generosity, BFC wouldn't be what it is today. Read more here.

Phil Morton, 1945-2003

Phil and his life companion barb shared hundreds of hours shooting videos in the presence of Yellowstone wildlife. Tireless advocates for wild bison in Montana, Phil and barb have always been generous in sharing their wisdom, experience, and passion with the BFC. Learn more about them and see some of their video here.

Jesse Stovall
, 1910-2005

Jess, his wife Joanne, and their daughter Anne have been steadfast supporters of the Buffalo Field Campaign since our earliest days. We have put this page together to honor Jesse's memory and share stories and photos from the long and colorful life of this native Montanan. Photos and stories here.
