Bison/Elk
& Bridger Herd
Letter to Public Officials
6/01/07 |
Okay
Ladies & Gentlemen let's talk reality. The reality is there
was an elk herd on the ranch of the Bridger herd that tested
positive for bruscellosis. This has been confirmed by people
in the area who know the rancher, and I'm told the rancher himself.
So what little under-the-table deal do you have going with Suzanne
Lewis and the Park Service to manage her Yellowstone Bison herd?
Money??? Probably. You're not touching the elk because you know
now that bruscellosis is in the elk herd "Pandora's Box"
has been opened and your sunk. Elk are revenue. Bison are seen
as competitors for precious Montana grass and cattle. You may
think the people of this state and this country are stupid.
However, this is to let you know we're really "on to you"
now. Rehberg, give it up!!!! We want a buffer zone for the bison,
and you better stand down on this issue - you and all the politicians
standing in the governors way.
The real question now is what are you going to do about the
elk??? The poor bison are being punished for something they
did not do. Stop trying to "manage" the Yellowstone
Bison herd. Nature will manage it for you. We want a buffer
zone for the bison around the park. NOT IN THE PARK - REHBERG!!!!
Outside the park, around the park boundary. Bison are not giving
bruscellosis to cattle. Elk, once again, are the culprit. Yet
they remain untouched. LEAVE THE BISON ALONE. Stop lying to
us. We know what you're doing, and we're spreading the message
across the country to expose all of you and this fiasco called
"The Interagency Bison Management Plan". If it wasn't
about money, you wouldn't even been involved in this and looking
as stupid as you all look for trying to "sell" this
plan to the public. You look like fools!!!!!
All of you need to exercise your intelligence while some of
us still have a shred of respect left for you. Do the right
thing!!! Start focusing your attention on the elk population.
Leave the bison alone. Give the bison a buffer zone outside
the park boundary. It's so simple and inexpensive. For some
of you, it might actually save your political careers. For all
of you, it will save your reputation with those of us who love
our native wildlife especially our bison.
