| Dear
Friends,
We are about to embark on our annual West Coast Summer
Roadshow. Our giant inflatable buffalo will grace Farmers
Markets along the Pacific Coast and we will give public
presentations in cafe's, classrooms, and community centers
along the way. Please check the following schedule and
if you are in or near any of these locations please
come out and meet us. Tell your family and friends we
are coming, and download our flier, photocopy it, and
post it around town. The poster will be available via
download on our website tomorrow.
Check it out at: http://www.wildrockies.org/Buffalo/politico00//flyers
You can also help by contacting local newspapers, TV,
and radio stations and letting them know about the Roadshow.
Our show features a video presentation, spoken stories,
live music by Robert Sanchez, and questions and answers.
After supporting us for all these years please come
out and let us thank you in person.
We are also planning an East Coast Roadshow in October.
If you live anywhere between Virginia and Vermont and
want to help host or publicize an event, please contact
Dan Brister at bfc-media@wildrockies.org or call him
at (406) 726-5555.
We must protect the Yellowstone buffalo, America's only
continuously wild herd. But we can't do it without you.
We are hitting both coasts in the coming months to help
generate the support the buffalo need so badly. We hope
to meet you this Summer and Fall.
With the Buffalo,
Mike Mease

* BFC Planning East Coast Roadshow, Needs Your
Help in Setting up Events
For those of you on the East Coast, we will bring the
BFC road show your way in October. Dan Brister will
present the Yellowstone herd through video footage,
readings from his recently completed manuscript of bison-inspired
essays, and open discussion. We will bring the buffalo's
plight to communities from West Virginia to Vermont.
We are currently scheduling East Coast venues for presentations.
Please contact us at (406) 726-5555 or bfc-media@wildrockies.org
if you can help set up a location for this compelling
video, reading, and discussion program.

* A Word From the Kitchen
Our refrigerator recently stopped working and we are
in desperate need of a new one. We are looking for an
industrial-size refrigerator to keep the food that nourishes
our volunteers. If you have one to donate or know someone
who might, please contact us using the information below.
We need one by Fall, before the annual influx of volunteers
arrives to staff next winter's daily patrols. Thank
you!
