Video from the Field 5/08
Despite all the craziness of this year, we are sometimes blessed with moments of incredible beauty. On Horse Butte a group of 15 buffalo, including two newborn calves, were grazing in the housing area. One mom and baby drifted apart from the herd. A lone wolf saw the opportunity and advanced toward the calf. The rest of the buffalo saw what was going on and quickly headed towards the mom and baby. The buffalo then surrounded the calf while several other buffalo ran the wolf away.

Is Elk Slaughter Next?
If the Montana Stockgrowers
Get Their Way.
"Buffalo Field Campaign obtained this video footage from the Wyoming Department of Game and Fish, who, under pressure from Wyoming livestock producers, is running a so-called "pilot project" to capture and slaughter elk in the Pinedale area. During the first week of February, the agency captured more than 500 elk at the Fall Creek and Muddy Creek feed grounds."

Inside Yellowstone National Park lies the Stephens Creek Bison Trap. This Year alone 922 Bison have been killed by your TAX DOLLARS and 223 are still in the prison awaiting their fate. All the footage you will see is provided by the Park Service. We hope this will outrage you enough to call the Park and remind them that they are the care takers of our national treasures, not MONTANA'S CATTLE INTERESTS.

The day after the bipod protest came down, Montana Department of Livestock showed their true colors. Not a cow within 40 miles, not a cow to ever return to Horse Butte but not an ounce of tolerance from the
Great State of Montana.

The "Fortunate" Ones
State and federal agents, facing public pressure not to slaughter, hazed hundreds of bison from Montana on Thursday. Acting Montana State Veterinarian Jeanne Rankin vowed to slaughter these bison if they are in Montana come Monday.
Bison were shot with paint balls
during the haze.

These newborn bison calves and their families have been sentenced to death. The Montana Board of Livestock decided yesterday to capture and slaughter all Yellowstone bison in Montana, including this herd that we filmed as they frolicked on our National Forest lands. Take a look at this video and then TAKE ACTION, because there is still time to save these bison from Montana's death sentence.
