The Government wants to sell 120 to 250+ million acres of Your Public Lands!

To Protect your Public Lands, is to Protect our Last Wild Bison!

The US government is prepared to sell your public land - public trust - via The Big "Ugly" (Beautiful) Bill. The federal government has managed and preserved this public treasure for over 250 years.  This includes landscapes that have become an icon of our national identity, the large-scale ecosystems that still provide rare habitat and a home for our last wild migratory Buffalo, all our non-human relatives.

The potential consequences of this public land sale of up to 1/3 of all public lands across 11 states is the loss of migratory corridors around Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park.  These  spaces have come to symbolize hope for restoration of Our National Mammal, to roam free in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem but also to restore Indigenous cultural heritage, making it a central part of the American heritage and the return of truly wild buffalo.

TAKE ACTION!

We need to fight for our public lands.  Action is needed before June 25th.

Call your senators and tell them then to VOTE NO on July 4th on the Big Beautiful Bill!

You can find your state and representative phone numbers on the 270toWin website, or the official US Senate site

ACT NOW before it is too late!

Important Facts:

  • Yellowstone is a high elevation plateau. By privatizing our national forests, aka USFS/BLM public lands, that border the Park, you eliminate lower elevation forage for migratory bison and all non-human relatives in the ecosystem. Thus, you remove the ability for their survival!
  • Every citizen owns 2 acres of public land, how do you feel about the government selling yours?
  • Selling our public lands is a loss of our Collective Rights, i.e. our home and our heritage
  • The lands for sale surround tribal lands and reservations, blocking their lifeways off, i.e. usual and accustomed uses (hunting, fishing, recreating, celebrating, walking). This is devastating for Indian Country…here we go again.
  • These are your favorite places…for camping, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, picnicking, fishing, hunting, finding peace.
