Oral Arguments To Be Heard In Federal Court On Endangered Species Listing For Wild Bison
Plaintiffs Buffalo Field Campaign, Western Watersheds Project, and Friends of Animals, are challenging U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s January 12, 2016 decision to not undertake a status review of the potential listing of Yellowstone Bison as threatened or endangered under the Endangered Species Act.

The Custer-Gallatin National Forest, which surround’s Yellowstone’s northern and western boundaries, is hosting a series of meeting throughout southwest Montana, as well as accepting public comments on their Forest Plan Revision, within which Species of Conservation Concern are being considered.
The mild winter we’re having continues to stem the migration in the Gardiner Basin, so all of the hunting pressure is being focussed here, on the buffalo who can least afford it.
